Our Story
About Sacred Impressions
A family craft rooted in reverence — carrying forward a tradition of Bible embossing that began with Family Christian Bookstore.
Our Story
Sacred Impressions was born from a simple belief: a Bible is more than a book. It is a companion for life's most sacred moments — baptisms, confirmations, weddings, graduations, and quiet mornings at the kitchen table. When you put a name on it, it becomes something that can be passed down for generations.
Our equipment traces its lineage directly to Family Christian Bookstore, where Bible embossing was a trusted tradition for decades. When that chapter closed, Rex Tubbs carried the craft forward — the same tools, the same care, the same commitment to doing it right.
Today, Sacred Impressions operates out of Livonia, Michigan, serving individuals, families, and churches across the country. Every Bible that comes through our door is treated with the same reverence you brought to it.
The Craftsman
Rex M. Tubbs
Founder & Master Embosser
Rex has spent years perfecting the art of foil embossing, learning the nuances of leather, cover materials, heat, and pressure that make each impression clean and lasting. He personally handles every Bible that comes through Sacred Impressions — there is no assembly line, no outsourcing, no shortcuts.
Livonia, MIWhat We Believe
Every Bible Deserves Care
We treat each Bible as the cherished object it is. We handle it carefully, emboss it precisely, and return it to you in the same condition it arrived — only more personal.
The Craft Matters
Foil embossing is a skill built over years. The right temperature, the right pressure, the right dwell time — these details are invisible when done correctly, and obvious when they're not. We get them right.
A Legacy Worth Keeping
Our equipment and methods carry forward a tradition that served generations of Christians at Family Christian Bookstore. We are honored to continue that work.
Heritage
A Legacy of Trust
Our embossing equipment and methods trace directly to Family Christian Bookstore — one of the most trusted names in Christian retail for over four decades. When Family Christian closed its doors in 2017, Rex Tubbs preserved the craft, the tools, and the standard of quality that thousands of families had come to rely on.
Carrying the tradition forward since 2017.
